Saab 96 2T 1965 year of production – the first model year of the 96 serie, so-called „longnose” (the front car body was extended by 17 cm (compared to the previous version “shortnose, bullnose, trubnos” to fit the radiator in front of the engine). The car was fully renovated in 2017 in Mirek Gradowski’s workshop in Podgórzyn (PL), specializing in the restoration of classic Saabs. The car was dismantled to the last screw, the body was sandblasted, all holes in the metal superstructure were professionally replaced. All car components have been verified, repaired or replaced with new ones (braking system, shock absorbers, suspension rubber elements, silencers, etc.), the gearbox works perfectly, I bought it after regeneration in Sweden. The car received a beautiful pastel Glacier Blue paint identical to the original (inside the trunk lid is still factory sticker with paint description and a fragment of the original paint are preserved). The car is professionally preserved.
The car is fully functional, all components are working. The car is equipped with a 2T original 42 HP green engine with one carburetor. Since the restoration, it has driven maybe 2-3 thousand kilometers, mainly participated in vintage car conventions and spots. Saab drives excellently, the car stores in a dry, warm garage all the time. Because there is really no one to drive it and when (my wife was supposed to drive it), I made the sad decision to sell it. Last year, the car drove less than 100 km.

The 1980 Saab 96 GL was one of the last 300 produced cars of the 96 model. They were characterized by the metallic blue paint, Ronal alloy wheels produced exclusively for this model and dark blue upholstery. Of course my car has all these elements, as well as the correct chassis number. Truly Jubileums are very rare on auctions.
I bought the car in Sweden last year and I wanted to do restoration (I’m a collector of the brand, especially 2T models), but life verified my plans and now I decided to sell her because I have no proper place to store it. The car arrived on her own wheels from Sweden more than 700 kilometers without any problems. The engine is dynamic, the suspension is rigid, the brakes, the lighting, the steering – everything works very well.
The car has insurance and valid technical MOT inspections Swedish (until 06.2024) and Polish (until 10.2024).
The car needs to be repainted – there are no holes in superstructure, the undercarriage is preserved, but the body was repainted in Sweden. In addition, the seats have abrasions in 2 places. The car is complete, roadworthy and fully driveable.
