Hi,

first my apologies that I write in English. I can read and speak Dutch, but if I write it, you may not understand what I mean

I am proud owner of a 900ep Cabrio Bj 92 for 2 weeks now. But I am surprised how bad the car handles the road. It feels very soft and more like a US car than a sport car as I expected. And on some 'tremples' I have hit the ground already. So my question: is it normal that the Cabrio feel soft and that you have to be carefull not to hit the ground? Or should I better check my supension?

De cabrio is veel minder stijf dan een sedan of hatchback. Dat beinvloedt de wegligging.

Ook mijn 95 en 96 en de Sonett helemaal, hebben last van die k*t drempels hier overal....

I dont know - they fell kind of soft and bouncy compared with my BMW, but they dont feel like they are too old and require replacement. When I drive at higher speeds over low round trempels, the dempers handle it quiet OK

Ill go Saturday back to the dealer and will ask him and maybe compare with some other Saab he has in stock

Een BMW is over het algemeen veel strakker geveerd dan een SAAB; waardoor dit ook veel sneller zal opvallen. Maar de vering van een 900 vind ik dan ook eigenlijk te zwak. Bij Turbo's is het wat beter.
Wat veel kan helpen is dat je een sportophanging gaat monteren, wat veel sportievere rijeigenschappen zal opleveren... een beetje BMW-achtig zou je kunnen zeggen

It could be possible that you hear the rear mudflaps scraping over the pavement when you cross a speedbump...Sounds awful especially when you dont know whats making the noise.Are located before the rear wheels.

you are right - I figured that what I thought to be ground contact with the tail side comes indeed from the rear flaps. Was a big relief!
Looks like the car drives just the way its suposed to drive. It did expect it to drive more sporty as this is the reputation of Saab cars. Anyway, its a cabriolet and with that you cruise and dont race, right?

Originele in goede staat zijde road holding kit voor de Saab 900 classic turbo versies. Deze twee stes dienen onder de auto tussen de voorwielen en achterwielen bevestigd te worden, zodat de auto een beter wegligging in scherpe bochten blijft behouden. Als accesoire verkocht toendertijd. Makkelijk zelf te bevestigen, turbo versies hebben reeds ophangpunten vooraf geinstalleerd op onderstellen.

thanks for your help. I did see this one last week and contacted him, but have not received an answer

I think the seller means a stabilizer arm or swaybar for the front suspension...Std.on the 900 ep 1992 I think. Some people remove these for better roadhandling...Very easy to see if you got one .
